A number of workers were injured when Islami Jamiat Talba activists attacked Punjab Council members in Punjab University in Lahore on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both the sides used iron rods and batons while attacking each other in Haily College of Commerce.

After receiving information, the police rushed to the site and were able to arrest 15 IJT members.

In reaction, an IJT spokesman said their peaceful workers were arrested in presence of the university administration. “If the students are not freed immediately then IJT will shut down the campus,” the spokesman added.
