Huge fire guts plastic factory in Karachi

A huge fire broke out at a plastic factory in Karachi on Wednesday morning, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.

The incident took place near Sindhi Hotel, located in Liaquatabad area of Karachi.

After receiving the report, two fire tenders rushed to the spot and launched an operation to bring the fire under control.

The fire brigade team said that there are several buildings that are adjacent to the factory.

The fire brigade team is trying to determine the real cause of the fire.

Earlier in September 2025, at least four firemen and one cameraman of a private TV channel were injured when a huge fire destroyed a garment factory in New Karachi Industrial Area.

The factory building that originally caught fire collapsed, and four firemen were injured as a result.

New Karachi Industrial Area Station House Officer (SHO) Rizwan Qureshi said that the fire erupted at around 6:30 am and the factory building collapsed around noon.
