Larkana classical singer stages protest again
Classical singer Ustad Imdad Faqir once again staged an unusual protest in Larkana on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The singer, accompanied by his family, gathered outside the local press club where he began singing live, turning his art into a powerful form of protest.
The classical maestro said he has been affiliated with Radio Pakistan and PTV for years, but has not been given any performance opportunities for a long time.
“I am a Double-A category classical artist, yet I haven’t been invited to perform in any programme for months,” he said.
The poverty-stricken singer had also staged a similar protest last month.

“We are struggling to make ends meet,” he stressed.
The veteran artist appealed to the authorities to restore his performances at Radio Pakistan and PTV, allowing artists like him to continue earning through their craft.
