The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has notified the restoration of ex-senator Nehal Hashmi’s party membership.

According to a notification issued by PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal on Thursday, Nehal Hashmi has been reinstated as the party member.

The former lawmaker submitted an affidavit to the party leadership vowing to maintain party discipline and follow rules and regulations. The ex-senator assured the party leadership of staying away from unlawful acts.

In 2017, the PML-N leadership fired Nehal Hashmi over a video showing the ex-lawmaker hurling threats at the investigators assigned by the Supreme Court to dig into the party leadership’s assets abroad.
