Lahore youth arrested for plotting his own kidnapping to get ransom from family 

In a twist in the kidnapping for ransom case of a 26-year-old youth in Manawan area of Lahore, it has emerged that the youth himself did all this to extort money from his family, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Police have said they have arrested Taimoor Aslam and his accomplices from Faisalabad and they are being questioned.

SP Cantonment Raheela Iqbal has said that the youth had sent photographs to his family in which his hands and feet were tied.

DSP Wajihul Hassan has said that the youth wanted to extort Rs1.5 million from his family. “And in order to get the amount, he had even asked his family not to report the matter to the police,” the DSP disclosed.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran had given orders for the arrest of culprits.

The case of kidnapping for ransom had been registered on the complaint of Taimoor’s wife.
