The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for violating the code of conduct for local body elections, 24News HD TV reported Thursday.

According to details, violation of code of conduct in local body elections cost Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur dearly.

The Election Commission has ordered him to deposit the amount of fine in the public treasury by Friday and has also warned the Federal Minister to abide by the forthcoming code of conduct.

The ECP further said that disqualification proceedings may be initiated for violating the code of conduct again.
