Three injured as passenger vehicle plunges into ravine in Shangla

Three people, including two women, were injured when a passenger vehicle plunged into a deep ravine in the Board area of Tehsil Alpuri in Shangla on Tuesday, rescue officials said.

According to officials, the vehicle was travelling from Kohistan to Swat when it met with the accident and fell into a gorge.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Alpuri for medical treatment.

Officials said two women were among the injured, with one of them reported to be in critical condition.

All the passengers involved in the accident belong to Kohistan, authorities said.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known, and further investigation is underway.
