All-night gunfire: PML-N workers violate laws in KP

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers blatantly violated the law during celebrations marking the appointment of Ikhtiar Wali Khan as Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Information for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) by resorting to indiscriminate aerial firing at his Hujra in Nowshera, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

A video of the incident surfaced on social media, showing a clear violation of the law. The gunfire continued throughout the night, yet the local police failed to intervene. The deafening sounds of bullets created an atmosphere of fear and panic, forcing residents to stay indoors.

Sources revealed that Ikhtiar Wali’s son was also involved in aerial firing, further exacerbating the situation. Shockingly, despite the blatant violation, the police did not take any action against those responsible.

It is worth noting that celebratory gunfire remains a dangerous trend in Pakistan, often leading to injuries and fatalities. This reckless display of joy not only endangers lives but also highlights the failure of law enforcement in curbing such unlawful practices.
