The Federal Board of Revenue has directed its officials to give clearance to the relief items within 24 hour as government has abolished all taxes and duties on them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday. 

The FBR has asked all of its chief commissioners to accelerate the process of flood relief items’ clearance while directing them to keep in contact with the NDMA and PDMA. 

As per the FBR directions, the items which should be cleared on fast track are included tents, medicines, mosquito nets, and other relief goods. 

The FBR said that the government had withdrawn all taxes and other duties on flood relief items.
