Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Umar said Wednesday while addressing a press conference in Lahore that the government had fallen victim to confusion and declared the arrest of his colleague Shahbaz Gill as ‘illegal’, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said while hinting at the results of recent by-elections on 20 seats of Punjab Assembly that the people of Pakistan had rejected the imported government on July 17 last.
He also stated that the people of Pakistan took to the streets against conspiracies in the country.
“It appears from their [government’s] press conferences that there is no problem in the country,” he deplored.
These statements of Asad Umar came after the arrest of another PTI leader Shahbaz Gill whom the Islamabad police booked under various sections for inciting rebellion, intrigue and tumult within the ranks of the army.
