In order to hold the government servants frequently involved in financial irregularities accountable, the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the National Assembly (NA) on Sunday decided to take action against such officials under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (Peeda) Act 2006, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The committee Chairman, Ahmad Iqbal, announced that rather than discussing these irregularities, immediate action would be taken against the officials involved in such practices.

Ahmad said that officers found repeatedly committing corruption would be considered disqualified.

He directed that strict action should be taken against the corrupt officials.
