Government assures PPP resolution of its issues
Admitting that the issues confronting the PPP both at the Center and at the provincial level were genuine, the PML-N-led coalition government on Monday assured the PPP of their resolution, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
The assurance was given at talks between the PML-N and the PPP committees in Islamabad.
The PPP’s delegation informed the government’s delegation of the issues the party was confronting and also put forward its demands.
Former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf led the PPP side, while the PML-N was represented by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in the talks.
Other members of the PPP’s delegation were Senator Sherry Rehman, MNA Syed Naveed Qamar, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Balochistan chief minister, Punjab governor, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governor, former Punjab governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood and the party’s Parliamentary Leader in the Punjab Assembly Syed Ali Haider Gilani.
The PML-N’s delegation comprised Rana Sanaullah, Azam Nazir Tarar, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Ahmad Khan, Ahad Cheema and Engineer Amir Muqam.
