Rajab Butt and Nadeem Naniwala secure bail
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday granted 10-day bail to popular YouTubers and TikTokers Rajab Butt and Nadeem Nani Wala in connection with cases registered against them in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to court sources, both digital content creators appeared before the IHC, which approved their request for transit bail and directed them to approach the court concerned within 10 days.
The IHC previously ordered both petitioners to ensure their personal appearance before the court, which they complied with.
After hearing the arguments, the court granted them transit bail to allow them sufficient time to seek legal remedy from the competent court in Lahore.
Sources confirmed that multiple cases have been registered against Rajab Butt and Nadeem Nani Wala with the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in Lahore.
However, the exact nature of the allegations has not been officially disclosed so far.
The court, while issuing the bail order, clearly instructed them to approach the court concerned within the given timeframe and follow all legal procedures. Failure to do so may result in legal consequences.
Deported
Rajab Butt was yesternight deported from the United Kingdom after British authorities had cancelled his visa.
He was put on a morning flight to Pakistan following his removal from the country. Officials said the British government had revoked his visa after it issued a written decision informing him of the cancellation.
Butt had not disclosed the cases registered against him in Pakistan at the time of his visa application. Once the authorities became aware of this, they arrested him, cancelled his visa and ordered his deportation.
According to him, he would be challenging the decision and would pursue an appeal in London.
