Man tortured to death by in-laws in Phoolnagar

A man was brutally tortured to death by his in-laws in the village of Lambe Jagir, a suburb of Sadar Phoolnagar police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday. 

According to Sadar police station, the deceased has been identified as Abdul Waheed, who went to his in-laws for reconciliation with his wife, Musarrat Bibi, where the argument escalated during a domestic dispute. 

According to the FIR, the in-laws and other relatives allegedly tortured Abdul Waheed with clubs and rods, as a result of which he was seriously injured. 

According to the family, Abdul Waheed was shifted to a hospital in a critical condition, but he succumbed to his injuries. 

On the complaint of the deceased's brother Munir Ahmed, a case has been registered under Section 302 against five named accused, including three men and two women, in Sadar Phoolnagar police station. 

However, the police said that an investigation into the incident has been initiated and the accused will be arrested soon and action will be taken as per the law. 

The deceased's relatives have demanded justice from the higher authorities and the immediate arrest of the accused.
