Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader and Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Information and Culture Firdous Ashiq Awan said Saturday that Punjab bureaucracy was responsible for the provincial government’s failure to deliver, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a special interview with 24News, she said the Punjab government was unhappy with the bureaucrats who, she alleged, pretended be with the provincial government but sided with its opponents. “Apparently these officers are with CM Usman Buzdar-led government, but in fact their sympathies are with former chief minister Shehbaz Sharif,” she said, and added, “The bureaucracy is making efforts to derail the PTI government in the province.”
“Three years have passed since the PTI came to power both at Centre and in the province, but sadly these bureaucrats have not mended their ways as yet,” Firdous regretted.
She also hinted at starting work on Rawalpindi Rind Road project. “People of Rawalpindi will soon be reaping the benefits of this project,” she concluded.
