Green signal for recruiting 10,000 teachers in Sindh
A special parliamentary committee of Sindh Assembly has given approval to recruitment of about 10,000 teachers across the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sindh Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah on Friday said that the committee gave approval to recruit 8,700 junior science teachers in the province and to recruit 1172 early childhood teachers.
Talking to the media men after the committee meeting, Sindh Assembly Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah said the second meeting of the committee was held today. He said in the first meeting, the waiting candidates and vacant posts were considered in detail.
He said the Minister for Education gave a briefing on the vacant posts and candidates.
As many as 55 marks will be considered as passing marks for junior science teacher. All eligible candidates for junior science teachers will be appointed.
The meeting decided to give preference to female candidates for Early Child Teacher.
According to the court decision, those with less than 55 marks cannot be given employment.
Offer letters will be issued to about 500 successful female candidates for Early Child Teacher within 15 days.
The Law Department will be consulted on the court case related to JST and PST.
After legal consultation, the future course of action will be decided regarding JST and PST candidates.
