Camel allegedly blinded in Tharparkar, family demands justice
A shocking case of alleged animal cruelty has emerged in Tharparkar, where a camel was reportedly subjected to severe torture and left blinded in a village of Dahli tehsil, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to residents, the incident took place in Baghal Rand village, where unidentified suspects allegedly tortured the animal and gouged out its eyes, sparking outrage among the local community.
The camel's owner, identified as Sarang, staged a protest outside the Chhachhro Press Club with his family, including women and children, demanding justice and action against those responsible.
Speaking to the media, Sarang alleged that influential individuals from a neighbouring village were involved in the attack.
He claimed that the suspects not only subjected the animal to brutal treatment but were also threatening the affected family.
The family said they came from a poor household and feared pressure from the accused, which made it difficult for them to pursue the case on their own.
The protesters called on senior government officials and law enforcement authorities to conduct a transparent investigation, bring those responsible to justice and ensure protection for the affected family.
