Fawad, who was representing Islamabad United in the PSL-6, was tested positive along with seven other players and officials, which led to the postponement of the event.
England cricketer Tom Banton had also declared corona negative a day before and he has headed back to his country.
It may be recalled that on March 1, Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators was delayed after Fawad Ahmed tested positive for the coronavirus.
On Monday, The Pakistan Cricket Board decided to close down offices at its headquarters in Lahore after a senior official tested positive for Covid-19. The PCB decided to adopt a safety-first approach soon after the official tested positive and asked its employees to work from home.
