Police arrest two for supplying chemical-coated kite strings in Lahore

Police in Lahore on Tuesday foiled the bid to supply chemical-coated kite strings and arrested two persons red-handed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

SP Cantonment Akhtar Nawaz said that a team, led by SHO Defence C Raza Abbas, caught two dealers namely Afzal and Awais and recovered 25 chemical-coated strings from them worth millions of rupees.

The SP informed that during initial interrogation, the suspects confessed that they would purchase strings from Peshawar and would later supply them to people in various localities of the city.

The official further said that cases had been registered against the suspects and intelligence-based raids were being conducted to arrest their accomplices.

The SP announced that the SHO and members of his team would be given complimentary certificates.

He made it clear that there was zero-tolerance policy towards those manufacturing and selling chemical-coated strings.
