The police force foiled an attack on Chinese nationals in Karachi on Wednesday and shot dead a terrorist, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The policemen deployed on security for the Chinese nationals in Karachi’s Malir area killed the terrorists, recovering an SMG and other material from his possession.

A police constable was also injured in the exchange of firing with the terrorist.

The incident occurred near the Pak-China Shipyard.

Police said they have called in the bomb disposal squad as they suspected that the terrorist was wearing a suicide vest.

Police reinforcement was summoned to boost the security at the shipyard.
