India launches missile attacks on Pakistani airbases: ISPR DG
In a major escalation of regional tensions, India has launched missile attacks on multiple airbases in Pakistan, confirmed Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) on Friday.
Addressing the media, Lt Gen Chaudhry revealed that India targeted the Nur Khan, Shorkot and Murid airbases, but emphasised that all Pakistan Air Force (PAF) assets remained unharmed. “Despite the aggression, our operational capability is fully intact,” he stated.
“Continuing its naked aggression, India some time back has fired air-to-surface missiles with its jets.
“PAF Nur Khan base, PAF Murid base and Shorkot base were targeted. According to information till now, all PAF assets are safe.”
The DG ISPR accused India of recklessly pushing South Asia to the brink of a wider conflict.
“India is dragging the entire region into the fire of its war madness,” he warned.
“They have not only attacked Pakistani soil but also fired ballistic missiles into Afghanistan and carried out drone strikes there — clear signs of unhinged escalation.”
General Chaudhry confirmed that India’s latest offensives included air-to-ground missile launches, but reiterated that all PAF installations and defense assets are safe.
ISPR DG said the majority of the missiles have been intercepted by the air defence system of the Pakistan army.
He said a few who sneaked in were unable to damage any air force assets as per initial damage assessments.
Lt Gen Chaudhary said the missiles and drone attacks that were launched in Afghanistan soon after India fired ballistic missiles in its own territory are a part of a greater sinister plan to push the whole region into war.
He said Pakistan have the complete electronic signatures of these attacks. He said the Pakistan army is vigilant and thwarting all the attacks and sinister plans of India.
In a stern warning to New Delhi, the DG ISPR concluded with a chilling message: “Wait for our response.”
People gathered near Nur Khan Air Base to show solidarity
Following the missile attack on Nur Khan Air Base, a wave of public solidarity surged as a large number of citizens gathered outside the base, chanting pro-army slogans and condemning Indian aggression.
In the immediate aftermath of the attack, a heavy contingent of Pakistan Army personnel was deployed at the main gate to secure the area. Bomb disposal units and fire brigade vehicles were also rushed to the site as a precautionary measure.

Eyewitnesses reported a charged yet resolute crowd outside the base, with citizens chanting slogans such as “Pak Army, step forward — we are with you!” and “Modi, dog, hay hay!” — signalling both support for the armed forces and outrage over India's hostile actions.
Despite the tension, no casualties or damage to Pakistan Air Force assets have been reported, according to official statements earlier issued by the DG ISPR.
