Extortion network in Karachi being run from Iran: Minister

Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar has revealed that the extortion network active in Karachi is being run from Iran, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing a a press conference in Karachi on Friday, the home minister said “extortion” is a matter of serious concern, and the government will not permit extortionists to harass the business community.
Lanjar said that the government wanted to provide security to the businessmen. He said, “We are in contact with the businessmen and working to resolve all their outstanding issues.”
He said four extortionists have been killed in encounters with the police as the authorities are working on the chits received by the traders for extortion money.
