KP Assembly takes up no-trust motion against CM today

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will take up a no-confidence motion against its Chief Minister Mehmood Khan as the house is meeting today (Monday) at 1pm, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The buoyant opposition after the success of its no-trust motion in the National Assembly which saw the removal of the PTI government in the Centre is optimistic about the success of its move against the KP chief minister.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly would start its session at 1pm in which the opposition would table no-trust motion against Chief Minister Mehmood Khan. As many as 42 members of the provincial assembly have put their signatures on the motion against the incumbent Leader of the House.

It bears mentioning that after the dislodging of Imran-led government at Centre, KP Governor Shah Farman has announced that he would also step down.

The joint opposition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday filed the no-confidence motion against Chief Mahmood Khan.

ANP’s Sardar Babak said that opposition leader Akram Durrani and all opposition parties agreed to submit a no-confidence motion against the KP chief minister.

PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had announced that the joint opposition would file no-confidence motion in KPK, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK to totally uproot the PTI-led governments in the country.
