More officers working under federal govt transferred, posted

The federal government has taken a series of administrative decisions involving appointments, transfers, postings, study leave, reinstatement and withdrawal of departmental penalties for bureaucrats and police officers.

The Establishment Division has issued official notifications covering the decisions.

According to the notifications, the services of Muhammad Hassan Abdullah Malik, a Grade-19 officer of the Secretariat Group who was awaiting posting, have been placed at the disposal of the National Highway Authority (NHA).

Defence Division Section Officer Uzma Naz Satti has been made the officer on special duty (OSD). Her study leave from August 13, 2026, to July 15, 2028 has also been approved.

The services of Faisal Iqbal, a Grade-18 Audit Officer posted in the Establishment Division, have been transferred back to his parent department, the Auditor General of Pakistan, Islamabad.

Syed Zawad Haider, who was awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, has been posted as Section Officer in the division.

The leave of Housing and Works Division Section Officer Ambreen Mazhar has been extended for another three months. She has been directed to report to the Establishment Division after completion of her leave on September 30, 2026.

The government has also cancelled the appointment of Muhammad Arif Tahseen as Deputy Secretary in the National Food Security Division and appointed him as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Human Rights.

In another decision, the departmental penalty imposed on Noman Afzal Awan, a Grade-18 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, has been withdrawn.

The penalty had included censure and withholding of one increment for two years. The Establishment Division withdrew the action in light of a Federal Service Tribunal decision dated April 13, 2026.

Meanwhile, suspended Section Officer Hammad Hassan has been reinstated in service.

According to another notification, Hamid Ehsan Warraich, a Grade-17 officer of the Police Service posted with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division. His study leave has also been approved until August 30, 2027.

Establishment Division Section Officer Nasreen Farhan has been transferred to the Housing and Works Division.

The government has also extended the attachment of SSP Sumaira Azam, a Grade-19 police officer posted with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), to the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority until further orders.

The Establishment Division said official notifications had been issued regarding all the appointments, transfers, postings, leave approvals, reinstatements and other administrative decisions.
