Two cops were injured in separate incidents in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Both were admitted to Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital. A police officer Bilal Ejaz sustained injuries while resisting a dacoity attempt in Gulshan Bahar.

In the other incident, cop Mubashir sustained injuries due to celebratory firing at a wedding ceremony held in Madinah Colony.

Earlier, Administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab said that crime in Karachi had witnessed a rise in the past year, with a spike in incidents such as mobile snatching, car/motorcycle snatching, and murders, according to statistics unveiled by the police.

However, Wahab said that Karachi has seen bad times in 2013-14 and law and order now is much better than before.
