Ongoing cold wave continues for next two days across Pakistan

The Met Office predicted that the ongoing cold wave will continue for the next two days across Pakistan, especially in Karachi, while the cold wave further intensified in most parts of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 
The minimum temperature of Islamabad was recorded at one degree centigrade, accompanied by cold winds.
The Met Office predicted that the maximum temperature of Islamabad is likely to reach 15 degrees centigrade.
In the morning, the temperature was recorded at nine degrees centigrade, and cold winds blew at a speed of 90 meters per hour.
The Met Office said that there is no chance of rain in the federal capital for the next twenty-four hours.
Karachi is also experiencing severe cold weather as the minimum temperature has dropped further to nine degrees centigrade.
The pollution rate of Karachi remained severe as the city was declared as 13th most polluted city in the world. The amount of particulate matter in the air was recorded at 163 particulate meters.
Cold wave and fog also gripped Mityari, Kandyaro, and Tehri Mirwah, forcing the residents to stay at home. Vehicles were also facing difficulties on the National Highway.
Dense fog also engulfed the entire area of Obaro with low visibility. Motoway M-5 was closed for all kinds of traffic from Guddu Interchange, Rohri to Zahir Pir.
Cold wave accompanied by low visibility also affected the routine life of Jacobabad, Thul and Garhi Khero. Several feeders were also dipped due to a severe cold wave.
Traffic authorities also advised citizens to avoid unnecessary travel. People were facing a lot of difficulties in the severe cold wave, as the electricity was also suspended in these areas.
