The 38th death anniversary of the first romantic hero of Pakistan, Santosh Kumar, was observed on Thursday.

Born in 1925 in Lahore, Kumar appeared in 'Ahensa' in 1947 in India and 'Beli' was his first film in Pakistan.

Osmania University graduate grabbed the Nigar Award for best actor in 'Waada'. He also starred in the first ever silver jubilee Urdu film 'Do Aansoo' in 1950. Kumar's real name was Syed Musa Raza. He died at 56 in 1982.
