A landslide blocked Gilgit-Skardu Road as a 100-meter area came under debris on Thursday. 

A special squad of the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) rushed to the affected area, shifted the locals to a safe place, started serving meal, set up a medical camp and pedestrian-crossing.

Moreover, the FWO is assisting civil administration in adopting measures for reconstruction and rehabilitation which will take a considerable time.
