Aleema Khan points finger at colonel of Adiala Jail

Jailed former prime minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan said on Tuesday that Khan wanted to read some books, talk to his sons and meet some political people, but the colonel at Adiala Jail was not allowing him to do all these things.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with her incarcerated brother at Adiala Jail, Aleema said that she gave some books to the jail staff for Imran Khan, but those books were not given to him. She said that Imran Khan’s real lawyers were not allowed to meet him today. She said the court verdict in the Al-Qadir Trust case has been challenged in the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

Since appointment of Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar as chief justice of the IHC, she said, Imran Khan’s cases are not being fixed for hearing. She said Imran Khan believes Pakistan cannot move forward until and unless rule of law is ensured in the country. She said that Imran Khan’s tenure was the best time in Pakistan in terms of law and order.
