Suspected robbers loot motorists by placing woods on Motorway three kilometres from Sheikhupura district.

Highwaymen went on rampage on Thursday amid public rant over lawmen’s apathy to a woman’s call for help as her vehicle broke down on the motorway.

Suspected robbers placed woods on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway three kilometres from Sheikhupura district. The criminals were busy with looting spree when an ambulance appeared on the road, making them ran away.

Motorists say they called the highway police but to no avail. The incident took place a day after suspected robbers raped a woman in Gujjarpura when she was waiting for help on the motorway.
