The official protocol given to former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was Tuesday withdrawn, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

It is learnt that the former interior minister had been given a bulletproof land cruiser and a special police squad.

The Rangers squad, deployed for the security of the former interior minister, also returned to the interior ministry.

The chief security officer and other officials including personal staff also reported to the interior ministry.

As a former interior minister, Sheikh Rashid will be provided security personnel as per the policy.
