Baisakhi celebrations conclude at Nankana Sahib 

The three-day Baisakhi festival at Gurdwara Janam Asthan has concluded, with Sikh pilgrims departing under strict security arrangements to continue their religious journey across Pakistan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

Officials said the pilgrims were transported by coaches in a secure convoy to Gurdwara Sacha Sauda, where they will stay before travelling onwards to their next destination. 

According to the district administration, the pilgrims will later proceed to Gurdwara Panja Sahib to attend the main Baisakhi ceremony scheduled for 14 April.

Pilgrims expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended to them, stating that they would always remember the warmth and kindness shown by the Government of Pakistan and its people during their stay.

A total of 2,238 Sikh pilgrims from India arrived to take part in the annual Baisakhi festival at Nankana Sahib. 

They were transported to the site in special buses, with authorities ensuring comprehensive security arrangements throughout their visit.

Officials described the event as peaceful and well-organised, highlighting the measures taken to facilitate the pilgrims and ensure the smooth conduct of religious activities.
