Erdogan compares Netanyahu to Hitler, threatens to attack Israel after failed talks

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned that any attack on Iran or Lebanon would be considered an attack on Turkey if talks fail, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

In a strongly worded statement, Erdogan criticised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, comparing him to dictator Adolf Hitler and accusing him of acting out of deep hostility.

Tayyip Erdogan said Israel would be shown its “true place” if such attacks continued.

The Turkish president also referred to previous military operations, stating that Turkey had intervened in Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh and could take similar action if necessary.

His remarks signalled a willingness to respond forcefully in the event of further escalation.

Erdogan added that if mediation efforts had not taken place, Turkey might already have acted against Israel.

He warned that Ankara would not remain passive if regional stability was threatened.

The comments come at a time of increasing strain in the region, with diplomatic efforts failing to produce a breakthrough and concerns growing over the possibility of wider conflict.
