Big reshuffle in police, Dr Abid appointed as DIG Operations Lahore

Punjab and Islamabad administrations have made a big reshuffle in the police and transferred several senior officers on Sunday.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, Punjab Chief Secretary Kamran Ali Afzal Sunday issued orders for the transfer of senior police officers and appointed Dr Muhammad Abid Khan as DIG Operations Lahore.

Earlier, Dr Abid was posted as CPO Faisalabad. Now, Ghulam Mubashir Mekan has been posted as CPO Faisalabad in place of Dr Abid Khan.

Chief Secretary Punjab has posted Zulfiqar Hameed as Additional IG Training and Ashfaq Alam Khan as DIG Internal Account Branch.

The S&GAD has issued notification of senior police officers’ transfer.

While the services of ASP Saud Khan and ASP Banish Fatima were handed over from Punjab Government to Islamabad Police.

ASP Aqila Niaz and ASP Hina Naik Bakht were transferred from Islamabad Police and directed to report to Establishment Division.
