The preliminary post-mortem report into the death of a giraffe at Lahore Zoo has surfaced Saturday, which stated a giraffe was died due to failure of the liver, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The report stated that the giraffe was suffering from liver disease. But the Zoo management was failed to detect the disease in time.

As per the details, the experts at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) have done with the post-mortem of the giraffe.

After the death of the giraffe, samples were taken from its blood, food and various parts of its body.

Prior to its death, the giraffe got weak and fragile and started to eat less. But, with all these symptoms, the Zoo administration failed to detect the disease on time.
