A fire broke out on Tatara Hill in the Malaguri area of Jamrud tehsil, Khyber district, which destroyed the whole mountain forest, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to rescue sources, the fire spread in no time after it broke out, engulfing the plants and trees on the hill.

On receiving information, the Rescue 1122 teams reached the spot and started efforts to extinguish the fire.

The teams were faced with difficulties in controlling the fire due to strong winds.

It is to be noted here that Tatara Hill is home to valuable plants and rare birds.
