All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (APTMA) Chairman Kamran Arshad rejected tax amendment ordinance and said that this ordinance allowed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to suspend any business, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Kamran Arshad said that “we will not accept FBR interference in our businesses and trade activities and to attach bank account”.

He said that this tax ordinance will definitely destabilize economic activities and will also put negative impact on our national economy.

APTMA Chairman said that FBR officials were given lot of powers. He said that taxpayers should be allowed to adopt legal channels.

He said that rights of taxpayers were snatched and the Federal Board of Revenue miserably failed to address taxpayers grievances.

Kamran Arshad said that FBR, instead to end non-filers category put the entire weight on the shoulders of taxpayers.
