The EU's top tech regulator on Wednesday warned Meta boss Mark Zuckerberg about a surge of online disinformation, especially over the Israel-Hamas conflict, and demanded to know what he is doing to curb it.
The letter from Thierry Breton, the EU commissioner for industry and the digital economy, followed a similar one he sent Tuesday to Elon Musk about content on X, formerly known as Twitter.
