Following the surge in the rates of ghee, vegetables, and pulses, the prices of clothes have gone up twofold in the Sunday bazaars in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
According to a survey, it is revealed that a suit which used to be available for Rs500 about six months ago, now costs more than Rs1000. The citizens worried about rampant inflation, saying the prices of everything have increased and now clothes are also becoming beyond reach.
The people further said that inflation has made their lives miserable and they are feeling it difficult to meet the essential items.
The government should increase salaries if they cannot control the prices because people are finding it difficult to make both ends meet. The storm of inflation in Karachi also hit hard Sunday bazaars , they added.
