T20I Asia Cup 2025: Pakistan opt to bat first against Oman

Pakistan have won the toss and decided to bat first against Oman in the T20I Asia Cup 2025 clash being played at  

Dubai on Friday. 

This will be the first game of the tournament for both teams, and they will be looking to get off to a positive start in the mega tournament.

Pakistan will be riding high on confidence after winning the United Arab Emirates T20I Tri-Series 2025.

On the other hand, Oman will be making their first-ever appearance at the Asia Cup, and they will look to hurt the big teams.

This fixture, scheduled ahead of the much-anticipated clash against arch-rivals India on Sunday, is being widely viewed as a warm-up opportunity for Pakistan to fine-tune their preparations.

Cricket experts suggested that the encounter with Oman will give Pakistan a chance to test their batting and bowling combinations, while also allowing the coaching staff to assess the team’s overall readiness before facing stronger opposition.
