Forensic report confirms CM Afridi’s involvement in Radio Pakistan case

Police investigation officer submitted forensic report to Anti-Terrorism Court in Peshawar on Saturday confirming the involvement of Khyber Paktunkhawa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi in the Radio Pakistan attack case related to May 9 mayhem. 

Anti-Terrorism Court heard May 9 case (FIR No. 221) related to Radio Pakistan attack. The investigation officer presented report of Punjab Forensic Science Agency to the court. 

During the hearing, the Investigating Officer (IO) confirmed the involvement of CM-KP Sohail Afridi in the Radio Pakistan case. 

At the next hearing, arguments from all parties will be heard in light of the forensic reports and reports from other government departments. 

Police officer told the court that there was a delay in submitting the report; it was eventually presented following directives from senior police officials. 

Later the court adjourned the hearing till Monday, September 14, 2026.
