Shaukat Siddiqui says can’t accept NIRC post as compensation to injustices

Justice retired Shaukat Siddiqui has said that he took the responsibility as NIRC (National Industrial Relations Commission) head on the insistence of the government after he was briefed by Law Minister during November 2024 that the department was in poor condition and if he (Shaukat Siddiqui) did not take the charge then the government will shut it down, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

Addressing his farewell ceremony, Shaukat Siddiqui said he rejected the Law Minister’s offer twice but later accepted the offer by taking it as a challenge. 

Shaukat Siddiqui said he quit the job after he was realized that the post was granted him as a compensation to injustice committed by then General Faiz Hameed. Shaukat Siddiqui said he resigned urgently. 

Shaukat Siddiqui said he always made decision after too much thought. He said that some elements were leashing baseless propaganda against him, adding that he will tell them who is the tout of the establishment. 

Shaukat Siddiqui said he will leave the case of propaganda machines to Almighty Allah for seeking justice. He hoped that coming head of NIRC will deliver much better than him.
