The Prime Minister House has rejected a summary moved by the interior ministry for an increase in the holidays on the eve of Eidul Azha, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Earlier, the Federal Cabinet has approved three holidays from July 20-July 22 on the eve of Eidul Azha.

However, the interior ministry had sent a new summary to the Prime Minister House to increase the Eid holidays from three to five.

The new summary had been moved in the light of NCOC recommendation as the body wanted the government to give five holidays instead of three in the wake of increasing cases of the coronavirus.

However, the Prime Minister House rejected the new summary and the interior ministry has issued the notification of three holidays for the Eidul Azha.
