A youth who threw a stone at the rock-carved statue of Buddha in Swat was arrested on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Swat district police officer (DPO) took action over the viral TikTok video of the boy in which he was seen throwing a stone at the rock-carved statute of Buddha.

Police said that the youth belonged to Manglor area of Janabad, adding that he had thrown a stone at the statue of Buddha in Jehanabad.

A case was also registered against him and further investigation was underway, said the police.
