Nine dead as Monkeypox cases rise in Sindh

The Sindh Health Department has reported nine deaths linked to Monkeypox as the province grapples with a growing number of suspected and confirmed infections, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday. 

 According to the officials, a total of 122 suspected cases have been recorded across the province, of which 25 have been confirmed through testing.

In the past 24 hours alone, two new cases were identified.

Officials said one of the newly reported cases emerged in Karachi, while the other was detected in Khairpur.

The Health Department has directed authorities to intensify preventive and response measures across Sindh, including surveillance and public awareness campaigns aimed at containing the spread of the virus.

In a public advisory, officials urged citizens to seek immediate medical evaluation if they develop symptoms such as unexplained rashes or skin lesions.
