The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) meeting reviewed the current coronavirus pandemic situation in Pakistan and around the world, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

As per the statement issued, the NCOC said the following countries would remain in Category-C on the basis of high ratio of COVID-19 and low vaccination rates: Bangladesh, Ecuador, Guatemala, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Namibia, Nepal, South Africa, Thailand and Tunisia. However, coronavirus test protocols will be applicable to people from all categories.

Pakistanis travelling to Category-C countries on short-term visas will be allowed to travel back without any hindrance; all countries except Category-C countries are placed in Category-B. NCOC clarified that the current policy about categorizing countries will be revised on September 15.
