Shuja Asad channels Quaid-e-Azam’s timeless style in ‘Independence Day’ tribute
Pakistani actor Shuja Asad has turned heads with a striking Independence Day tribute, paying homage to ‘Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’ by recreating the founding Father’s iconic formal style while reflecting on his hopes for Pakistan.
Taking to Instagram, Shuja shared a carousel featuring a portrait of Quaid-e-Azam alongside his own carefully styled recreation. The actor appeared in a vintage-inspired grey pinstripe suit, deliberately echoing the timeless elegance associated with Pakistan’s founding father.
His ensemble featured a structured, heavy shouldered double breasted blazer paired with a dark navy silk tie with subtle diagonal stripes. Polished black Oxford shoes completed the sophisticated, period inspired look.
Alongside the photographs, Shuja penned a heartfelt message expressing his enduring connection with Pakistan despite the challenges facing the country.
He wrote: “Pakistan, despite everything, you remain my home, my land and a part of who I am.
We may be frustrated by the times we’re living through, but our love for this country is bigger than any government or difficult chapter. I still believe in our people and in the Pakistan we can build together.”
Quoting Allama Iqbal, the Dr Bahu star further shared a powerful verse about aspiring towards greatness and having the courage to shape one’s destiny.
He concluded his message with a wish for “courage, unity and leadership” to build the Pakistan people envision, signing off with “Pakistan Zindabad” and a nod to the Quaid’s enduring sartorial legacy.
