The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar in a major operation saved the Peshawar aka city of flowers from catastrophe and arrested two terrorists with hand grenades, weapons and ammunition, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

The TV channel said both terrorists were arrested from Bara Sarband near Gul Market Peshawar.

Sharing the details of the accused terrorists, CTD said the first terrorist named Asif, son of Sawab, resident of Nahar Gara, Qambar Khel area of district Khyber and the other one is Waqas, son of Bacha, who is a resident of Mohmand Hal Nagman.

Two hand grenades, two pistols 30 bore cartridges recovered from the accused terrorists’ procession, the TV channel reported.

CTD spokesperson said the counter terrorism department arrested both terrorists while they were entering in the city.

A case has been registered against them under the Anti-Terrorism Act, the TV channel reported.
