Cheques worth Rs2m each distributed among flood victims in Sheikhupura 

Cheques worth Rs2 million each were distributed to the heirs of those who died during the floods in Sheikhupura, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday. 

On the special instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Deputy Commissioner Sheikhupura Shahid Imran Marth distributed cheques among the victims in his office. 

The victims were given cheques by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab.

During distribution of cheques told the victim that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed sympathy with the victims and said that financial assistance from the government cannot replace the loss of their loved ones, but the Punjab government did not leave the victims alone in their hour of grief but also tried to alleviate their suffering. 

It should be noted that during the flood, the husband of Gulnaz Bibi, the son of Karamat Ali, the son of Sunbal Bibi and the daughter of Ehsan Ali, who died, were distributed cheques worth Rs2 million each.
