A petrol-thief sustained critical burns during theft of petrol from a motorcycle. The incident occurred in Mehmoodabad No-5, Karachi Friday morning. Three vehicles burnt in the fire following a strong explosion.

According to a 24 News HD footage, a thief, seemed to be of middle age, came near a parked bike and opened petrol supply pipe while puffing a cigarette. The petrol caught fire with a loud explosion from the cigarette and engulfed three vehicles parked nearby. The thief also sustained severe burns on the hand and face. He, however, fled the scene.

Locals put off the fire while called the police to the scene. The Karachi Police have started searching for the culprit with the help of CCTV footage.
